I have an insatiable sweet tooth. And even though I'm bulking right now, I still need to make smart food choices. Enter the protein cheesecake! Three ingredients for the topping, two for the base. Happy days!
(This is for a standard cake tin that's about 7/8 inches wide, 3 inches deep. You can half the ingredients for smaller portion or if you have a smaller base. I literally make enough base to cover the bottom, so it's not too thick)
4 scoops of Muscle Mousse (I use White choc flavour)
2 tubs of quark
2 tubs of lightest Philly (the shallower tubs)
I also add a splash of TRKG skinny syrups (White choc flavour), but not essential
Mix together - that's the topping done. Don't refrigerate or allow it to set ;)
For the base:
5-8 digestive biscuits, depends on tin base size
Blitz up with a hand mixer, a nutribullet might pulverise it!
Heat up approx 1tbsp of coconut oil, you can use other things to bind the base; could use butter, peanut butter, Nutella... Any spread! Mix it all together and line the bottom of the tin. Add your topping on and spread evenly.
Bake in the oven on about 170c, for anywhere between 20-35 mins depending on whether you've gone for the whole mixture or making a half size one. Take out when the top starts to ever so slightly brown, wait for it to cool and then chill it overnight before eating. Easier said than done!
Haven't had chance to work out the macros yet, but suffice to say it's a bit heavier on protein and fats than carbs, which are mostly in the base. Let me know if you give it a go! I made one on Friday night and still making my way through it. Yum!
