I got it into my head today that part of the reason I wasn't blogging much was that my focus has really shifted since I set my blog up just under a year ago. When I had the crazy idea that I needed somewhere to capture the thoughts, fears and ambitions around my fitness journey, I was doing little more than running. 

I loved running, and I still do; it helped give my day a focus on fitness, whether it was a morning run to wake up, or an evening run to de-stress. Up until that point, I'd only ever really used the gym for an occasional class, or some cardio. About 9 months ago, I realised I wanted more from fitness. I was getting a little bored of the lonely daily run, so I started lifting more than just an occasional dumbbell at the gym. As I started lifting a bit more, I realised the rush that came with it and a renewed sense of achievement was born.

Now I'm in a place where I'm happier with my physique, loving leaving the gym each day after achieving something new or overcoming a new hurdle or barrier. I guess I have shifted from training in steady-state stamina mode to super-solid strength mode. 

Besides the slightly bland blog header I was sporting before, I named my blog after something I commonly thought to myself as I got all my gear on. "I've got all the gear, but no idea". And do you know what? That's a complete injustice. I owe myself more than that. Yes, I still love my gear... I really love my gear. But I know what I'm doing. I'm learning every day, but I'm no longer clueless.

So here's my slightly updated blog look & feel, with a bit of colour. I was never quite satisfied with what I'd set up - it was a means to an end -  but now feel that I'm in a place where I know what I'm trying to achieve and hope my new logo reflects this.
